NBS BANK TAKES FUN TO CHANCO

Friday night was one of elation at Chancellor College's Great Hall when hip-hop sensation Tay Grin performed in the first leg of shows to bring students closer to NBS Bank's Bank@Campus brand.

Hip-hop ruled the night, not only with Tay Grin in the house but also because of several Chirunga Campus hip hop outfits that performed, including the seven-member Agwede and The Basement. Also in performance were Marco Sadick and the youthful Ndirande-based Mizati Band, with their liberating reggae vibes. The group also played songs that are closely associated with the youth of this age, songs like 2-Face's African Oueen.

Things turned from warm to hot when Tay Grin took centre stage, with students' who were sitted to watch the goings-on, jumped up their feet and put on their dancing shoes to join him in his Two by Two, Nyau Music, among other songs. His was a performance with a difference, what with his Nyau Unit Dancers taking the students into ta-ta land, with their mesmerising dancing antics. All this, in addition to bringing the Chirunga intelligentsia closer to the Bank@Campus, the show proved the age old locution: all work, no play makes jack a dull boy.

That is if the words of NBS Bank marketing officer Lillian Kawaza are anything to go by. "College students know that life on campus is not only about school and books. They need to refresh their brains as well. While bringing to the students the services we offer at Bank®Campus, we had to bring them fun as well. This is the beginning of similar shows we will be having at various tertiary education institutions," said Kawaza
