NBS Bank trains 30 women - 21/07/2009

About 30 small and medium scale women entrepreneurs on 18th June ended a three-day NBS Bank-organised training workshop on financial access.

The training workshop was organised to equip the business ladies with skills on how to become bankable and easily access loans from the bank to help them expand their businesses and make profits. The women, drawn from Nkhata Bay and Mzuzu, said at the end of the workshop they had benefited alot from the training as now they new what banks look for when someone wants to get a business loan from them.

Closing the workshop, which was facilitated by consultant Towera Jakalasi, Mzuzu NBS Bank branch manager, Shephard Tembo advised the women entreprenuers to be pro-active and start networking among themselves, saying it is one way of sharing knowledge for growth.
